The hexagonal body makes them extremely simple to install. Importantly, Philmac threaded fittings are suitable for working pressures up to PN16 for sizes up to 2”, PN12 for 2-1/2” and PN10 for 3” and 4” sized fittings.

Smart hexagonal design makes the fittings compatible with tools and ensures that Philmac BSP threaded fittings are extremely easy to install.

This joiner bush 90° elbow connects 3/4" poly pipe to 1/2" poly pipe at a right angle, ideal for directional changes in your farm water system. Slide the barb end of the fitting fully into the poly pipe until it seats firmly, then secure with two stainless steel hose clamps on each barb section, tightening evenly. Ensure pipes are clean and free of debris before insertion. Test the connection under normal operating pressure before leaving unattended. Tips: Always use stainless steel clamps (not galvanised) with barb fittings to prevent corrosion and leaks in Queensland's climate. Pre-soak poly pipe in warm water for 2-3 minutes before assembly if working in cold conditions, as this softens the pipe and makes insertion easier. For permanent installations, consider solvent weld fittings instead of barb fittings, as they provide superior durability and eliminate clamp failure over time.
