The hexagonal body makes them extremely simple to install. Importantly, Philmac threaded fittings are suitable for working pressures up to PN16 for sizes up to 2”, PN12 for 2-1/2” and PN10 for 3” and 4” sized fittings.

Smart hexagonal design makes the fittings compatible with tools and ensures that Philmac BSP threaded fittings are extremely easy to install.

The material also has a high degree of UV resistance to ensure long term performance even in direct sunlight.

This 1 1/4" x 1/2" joiner bush is designed to connect rural poly pipes of different sizes using a barb connection method. Ensure both pipes are cut cleanly and straight before inserting them firmly onto the barbed ends until fully seated. Use two stainless steel hose clamps on each barbed connection, tightening them evenly to create a secure, leak-free seal. This fitting is suitable for gravity-fed and pump-fed farm water systems up to 800kPa. Tips: Warm the poly pipe slightly in hot water before inserting onto barbs—this softens the pipe and makes insertion easier while reducing stress on the fitting. Always use stainless steel clamps rather than galvanised ones to prevent corrosion and premature failure in rural water systems. Check all connections regularly for leaks, especially after system pressure changes or temperature fluctuations.
