Jenquine Bone Formula Forte® is an equine calcium and mineral supplement formulated for horses on grain or bran-based feeds, grassy hay, and pastures containing oxalates. It combines organic and inorganic calcium to help increase available dietary calcium and support healthy bones and skeletal strength.
It is particularly suited to Australian horses grazing high-oxalate subtropical grasses such as kikuyu, buffel, panic and setaria, where oxalates can interfere with calcium availability. Inadequate available calcium over time can contribute to bone demineralisation, osteoporosis and nutritional secondary hyperparathyroidism, commonly associated with “Bighead” disease.
