Slide the 40mm tape insulator onto your timber post and secure it with the built-in screw mechanism — make sure it's tight enough that the insulator won't slip under load but not over-tightened or you'll crack the post. Thread your electric fence tape through the insulator slot, keeping it flat and not twisted. Check that the insulator sits flush against the post face so there's no gap where moisture or dirt can collect and cause leakage.
