Y-Tex Brute Insecticide for Horses contains 87 g/L permethrin (25:75 cis:trans) in a rain-resistant, low-irritant formulation, applied with the Brute Applicator Mitt. 500 mL.
- For control of biting and nuisance flies on horses
- For residual control of susceptible Buffalo Fly, Stable Fly and House Fly
- For residual control of Sandflies (Culicoides spp.), the causal agents of Queensland Itch
The level and duration of control may be reduced due to high fly pressure or on working horses due to the effects of perspiration.
Restraints
DO NOT USE on horses that may be used for human consumption. DO NOT treat foals under 12 weeks of age. DO NOT apply more than 30 mL per animal.

How much do I apply?
3 mL / 100 kg bodyweight for sandflies, or 6 mL / 100 kg bodyweight for biting and nuisance flies, up to a maximum of 30 mL per animal, using the Brute Applicator Mitt.
How often can I reapply?
Reapply as needed but not more often than once every 7 days.
Can I use Brute on foals or horses for human consumption?
No. Do not treat foals under 12 weeks of age, and do not use on horses that may be used for human consumption.
