INCITEC PIVOT FERTILISERS - GREEN UREA - SLOW RELEASE - NV 25KG at a glance

New Green Urea NV is a stable and efficient way to get extra nitrogen securely into your soil, with reduced losses through volatilisation.

Green Urea has already proved its flexibility and effectiveness as an alternative to conventional
granular urea.

With the new Lockdown urease inhibitor coating, this NV formulation has increased storage stability as well as the proven potential to produce more feed than standard urea.

Features:

The same high analysis as urea (46% nitrogen)
Contains a urease inhibitor to protect against volatilisation losses
Suitable where rainfall or irrigation is unlikely within a few days of application
Can be blended with other fertilisers

Benefits:

Protects against nitrogen losses
Retained nitrogen can then be used to grow additional pasture dry matter
Allows greater flexibility of application timing
Reduces nitrogen losses in unfavourable settings such as warm and windy conditions, on drying soils and on high pH soils

Rate Green Urea NV to the nitrogen your pasture or crop needs (kg N/ha), based on a soil test and agronomic advice — not by a blanket rate. It contains 46% N, the same analysis as standard urea, so a given weight of product delivers the same nitrogen as the same weight of urea. (As an arithmetic example only — not a recommendation — 50 kg/ha of product supplies about 23 kg N/ha.) Broadcast evenly with a correctly set spreader. What makes Green Urea NV different is its Lockdown urease-inhibitor coating, which slows urea conversion and sharply reduces ammonia volatilisation. Incitec Pivot's current position is that this gives much greater flexibility with timing — Green Urea NV can be applied up to about 14 days ahead of rain or irrigation without needing to be watered in immediately, which is the opposite of standard urea. It is particularly useful in warm, windy conditions, on drying soils and on high-pH soils, where standard urea loses the most nitrogen. Store in a cool, dry place, as moisture degrades the coating. Tips: You still get the best result once the nitrogen is eventually moved into the soil by rain or irrigation, but you do not have to apply it immediately before rain the way you would with standard urea. Confirm rate and timing for your pasture, soil and season with your agronomist.

Common Questions

What's the nitrogen content in Green Urea NV?

Green Urea NV contains 46% nitrogen, the same high analysis as standard urea.

How does the urease inhibitor coating help?

The Lockdown urease inhibitor coating protects against nitrogen losses through volatilisation. This means more of the nitrogen stays in the soil where your plants can use it, rather than being lost to the air. It's especially useful in warm and windy conditions, on drying soils, and on high pH soils.

When should I apply Green Urea NV?

Green Urea NV is suitable where rainfall or irrigation is unlikely within a few days of application. The urease inhibitor coating gives you greater flexibility with timing compared to standard urea, and helps protect against losses in unfavourable conditions.

Can I blend Green Urea NV with other fertilisers?

Yes, Green Urea NV can be blended with other fertilisers.
