Hygain Micrlupins is a premium quality, all natural, micronized lupins for horses that requires no soaking or cracking with the goodness sealed in.

Micrlupins flakes are readily digestible with improved feed efficiency and reduced risk of colic, acidosis and laminitis.

Micronizing is a Short Time, High Temperature patented process using the grains moisture and infrared heat to achieve conditions essential for the optimal cooking of starch and starch gelatinisation.
During processing the grain becomes soft and pliable, causing the reconfiguration of the starch structure (gelatinisation).
Immediate flaking fully gelatinises the starches so as to significantly enhance the digestibility and nutritional value of the feed.

The small intestine is the epicentre of nutrient digestion in the horse.
Vitamins, minerals, fats, protein and starch are readily absorbed in the small intestine.
Research shows that feed digested in the small intestine significantly increases the rate of glucose (energy) absorption.
Micronizing lupins improves feed efficiency and digestibility and eliminates anti nutritional factors which can have a detrimental effect on amino acid availability limiting growth and development, appetite and the general health and wellbeing of the horse.

Micrlupins transfer the site of digestion back to the small intestine improving feed efficiency and reducing the burden on the hind gut resulting in fewer incidences of dietary induced problems such as colic, acidosis, laminitis, loss of appetite, nervousness, fatigue and reduced performance.

Hygain Micrlupins provide nutritional benefits for all classes of horses.

Feeding Rates:

Micrlupin flakes can be fed on their own or mixed with other grains such as Micrbarley, Micrmaze and or oats to meet dietary requirements or used as a top up to premixed, pelleted or extruded feeds and should be fed with a minimum of 1% of body weight as fibre such as quality pasture/ hay and or chaff.
Feeding amount may be influenced by age, breed, desired body condition, exercise intensity, gestation and lactation status, pasture/hay quality and availability and climate.
Care should be taken to match feed intake to dietary requirements.
Reduce grain intake on rest days, if horses gain weight and / or training regime is interrupted.

Feed HYGAIN Microlupins as a protein-rich hard feed supplement to horses in work. Adjust feeding rate based on the horse's bodyweight and work level, ranging from 0.5kg to 2kg daily. Always introduce gradually over 7-10 days by mixing small amounts with existing feed. Ensure fresh water is available at all times and store in a cool, dry location. Tips: Microlupins are an excellent source of digestible protein and energy, particularly suited to working horses requiring muscle development. Balance hard feed with quality roughage (hay or pasture) to maintain optimal digestive health. Consult with an equine nutritionist if combining with other supplements or making significant dietary changes. Common Questions

What are Hygain Micrlupins and why are they different?

Hygain Micrlupins are all natural, micronized lupins for horses. They're ready to feed — no soaking or cracking needed. Micronizing is a special high-temperature process that cooks the grain and gelatinises the starch, making it much easier for your horse to digest and absorb nutrients in the small intestine. This improves feed efficiency and reduces the risk of colic, acidosis and laminitis.

How should I feed Micrlupins to my horse?

You can feed Micrlupin flakes on their own or mix them with other grains like Micrbarley, Micrmaze or oats. You can also use them as a top-up to premixed, pelleted or extruded feeds. Always feed a minimum of 1% of body weight as fibre — quality pasture, hay or chaff. The right amount for your horse depends on age, breed, body condition, exercise intensity, and whether they're in work or at rest. For exact feeding rates, check the product label or contact TGRM on (07) 5482 1692.

What's in Hygain Micrlupins?

The ingredient is simply micronized lupins. The nutrition analysis shows crude protein at 34%, crude fat at 5%, and maximum crude fibre at 15%.

Will Micrlupins suit my horse?
