Super fibres provide digestible energy ranging between that of good quality hay and grains, offering an alternative energy source with less sugar.
Fibressential provides calcium and phosphorus in a balanced ratio, supporting the maintenance of healthy bones.

Nutritional values of chaff can vary greatly according to the season, Fibressential provides consistent nutrient values all year round, it may also be used to replace part of the grain/premix feed in the diet, lowering starch intake whilst retaining the digestible energy level.

Feed HYGAIN FIBRESSENTIAL 20KG at a rate of 0.5-1.5kg per day depending on horse bodyweight and work level, divided into 2-3 feeds. Always provide adequate clean drinking water and good quality roughage (hay or pasture) as the base of the diet. Introduce gradually over 7-10 days by mixing with the horse's current feed to avoid digestive upset. Adjust feeding rates based on individual horse condition and performance. Tips: Store in a cool, dry place in sealed containers to maintain freshness and prevent moisture absorption. Weigh feeds accurately using scales rather than scoops for consistent nutrition and better results. Monitor your horse's weight and condition regularly, adjusting quantities to maintain ideal body condition score. Common Questions

What is Fibressential and what's it used for?

Fibressential is a fibre source made from super fibres, suitable for all equines. It's designed as an alternative to traditional horse chaff, offering consistent nutrition and reduced dust. Because of the digestibility of the super fibres, feeding rates can be reduced by a third in volume compared to traditional chaff.

What are the key nutritional features?

Fibressential has reduced sugar levels and a balanced Calcium to Phosphorous ratio to support healthy bones. The super fibres provide digestible energy between that of good quality hay and grains, giving you an energy source without the high starch. It can even be used to replace part of your grain or premix feed, lowering starch intake while keeping digestible energy levels up.

Why choose Fibressential over traditional chaff?

Fibressential is made from Beet Pulp, Lupin Hulls, Soya Bean Hulls, Calcium Carbonate, and Millrun. Crude Protein is 10%, Crude Fat 2%, Calcium 1%, Phosphorus 0.4%, and Max Crude Fibre is 35%.
