Horslyx Digestion Balancer is a high-density complementary feed/lick for horses, ponies and donkeys. It is formulated to provide nutritional support from the stomach through to the hindgut, while encouraging the horse to lick slowly rather than consume a large meal at once.

How it supports digestion
- Licking and saliva production: the lick format means the horse licks gradually, stimulating saliva which helps naturally buffer stomach acid.
- Slippery Elm: Slippery Elm bark (Ulmus rubra) provides mucilage to help support the stomach and digestive tract.
- Seaweed meal: from Ascophyllum nodosum, a further source of mucilage.
- MOS prebiotic: mannanoligosaccharides from yeast, to support a favourable gut-microbial environment during dietary change.
- Actisaf live yeast: a live probiotic yeast (Saccharomyces cerevisiae) that supports healthy digestive function and hindgut buffering; daily feeding is recommended for continued effect.
- Magnesium: a relatively high magnesium level, formulated low in starch compared with many conventional feeds.
