Farnam MecWorma & Tape allwormer paste for horses. Active constituents: 4 mg/g abamectin and 167 mg/g morantel tartrate.
For the treatment and control of tapeworms (Anoplocephala perfoliata) and roundworms (including arterial larval stages of Strongylus vulgaris and benzimidazole resistant small strongyles), cutaneous onchocerciasis (Onchocerca spp. microfilariae), bots and skin lesions caused by Habronema and Draschia spp. (summer sores).
MecWorma & Tape is highly effective against gastrointestinal, cutaneous and pulmonary nematodes and bots of horses of all ages. Regular treatment will reduce the chances of verminous arteritis and colic caused by Strongylus vulgaris.
At the recommended dose rate of 5.4 g/100 kg bodyweight this paste controls:
Tapeworm: Anoplocephala perfoliata
Large strongyles: Strongylus vulgaris (adult & arterial larval stages), Strongylus edentatus (adult & tissue stages), Strongylus equinus (adult) and Triodontophorus spp. (adult)
Small strongyles: including benzimidazole resistant strains (adult and immature)
Ascarids: Parascaris equorum (adult & immature)
Pinworms: Oxyuris equi (adult & immature)
Hairworms: Trichostrongylus axei (adult)
Lungworms: Dictyocaulus arnfieldi (adult and immature)
Bots: Gasterophilus spp. (oral and stomach stages)
Intestinal threadworms: Strongyloides westeri (adult)
Neck threadworms: Onchocerca spp. (microfilariae)
Large mouth stomach worms: Habronema muscae (adult)
