Use these compact footrot shears to trim the hooves of lambs and goats, taking small cuts and following the natural line of the hoof. Restrain the animal safely, pare back overgrown horn a little at a time, and take care not to cut into the sensitive quick. Wipe the blades clean and dry after use, and store them safely — the blades are sharp. Tips: Trim regularly to keep hooves in good shape and to help manage footrot. Hone the blades occasionally for a clean, easy cut. In Queensland's humid climate, wipe the blades with a light oil after cleaning to prevent rust.
