It also treats and controls three species of hookworms and two species of roundworms.

This monthly treatment has antiparasitic and anthelmintic properties that work against mixed parasitic infections.

This monthly treatment is one of the most recommended heartworm preventative treatments and it is safe and suitable for dogs 6 weeks of age and older as well as breeding and pregnant dogs.

Directions of Use:

Heartworm testing is recommended prior to beginning treatment.

Weigh your pet and choose the appropriate pack based on your dog’s weight.

Only remove a single chewable from the foil blister at a time.

Give Heartgard Plus Chewable once a month on the same day of each month year round.

Heartgard Plus Chewable should not be swallowed whole.

Chewables may be broken and fed to dogs as pieces, or crumbled and mixed with food.

Ensure that your dog consumes the full dose, and then observe afterward to be sure none is rejected or lost.

If any portion of the dose is lost, re-dose.

If your dog's treatment is delayed by a few or several days, treat immediately and resume the recommended schedule to mitigate potential adult heartworm development.

Active Constituents:

68 µg Ivermectin and
57mg Pyrantel (as embonate salt)

Although side effects are rare but may show up in hypersensitive canines.

Overdosing may result in tremors, dilated pupil, and weight loss.

Avoid contact with eyes.

Collies including Border Collies and other breeds have genetic intolerance to Ivermectin.
