Feed your wire through the Gripple joiner and position it on the post or strainer. Twist the Gripple handle clockwise to tension the wire—you'll feel it grip and lock as you turn. Once you've got the tension right, move on to your next section. The medium pack is designed for standard farm fencing runs, so you shouldn't need to overthink the tension; just get it snug and secure. Tips: Don't over-tension on the first go—it's easier to add more tension later than to strip wire or damage the Gripple. Keep your wire clean and free of rust before threading it through; dirty or pitted wire won't grip as reliably. If you're doing a long run, tension every third or fourth section rather than doing the whole fence at once; it'll give you better control and straighter lines.
