GRAVITATE 707 20L VICTORIAN CHEMICAL 100743754 at a glance

GRAVITATE 707 is a second-generation spray adjuvant designed as an acidifying, penetrating, and drift-reducing surfactant for agricultural spray applications. It is formulated to improve the performance of herbicides, particularly glyphosate and other systemic chemicals, by optimizing spray water quality, enhancing chemical uptake by plants, and reducing spray drift.

The product is specially developed for Australian farming conditions and is suitable for use in broadacre, horticulture, viticulture, and other crop protection spraying programs.

FEATURES & BENEFITS

Acidifying Action
GRAVITATE 707 buffers spray water to an optimal pH range of approximately 4 to 5, which improves the effectiveness of many herbicides, especially glyphosate. This reduces the negative impact of alkaline or hard water on spray performance.

Built-in pH Indicator
The product contains a visual pH indicator that turns the spray mixture pink to red when the desired acidity level is reached. This allows users to visually confirm correct water conditioning before spraying.

Improved Herbicide Performance
The formulation enhances wetting, spreading, and penetration of spray droplets on plant surfaces, helping active ingredients move more effectively into target weeds.

Drift Reduction
GRAVITATE 707 helps reduce the formation of very fine droplets (driftable fines), lowering the risk of off-target spray movement and improving application accuracy.

Better Compatibility with Hard Water
The product helps mitigate the effects of hard water, allowing herbicides to work more efficiently even in challenging water conditions.

Low Odour Formulation
Designed with reduced odour for more comfortable handling during mixing and spraying.

SPECIFICATIONS

Active Constituents
340 g/L Vegetable Oil Ester
225 g/L Soyal Phospholipids

Mixing Instructions

Fill the spray tank halfway with clean water and start agitation.

Add the required amount of GRAVITATE 707 and allow it to mix.

Add the herbicide according to label instructions.

Maintain agitation throughout spraying.
If mixing with dry granules, dissolve them fully in water before adding GRAVITATE 707.

APPLICATIONS

Crop Protection Spraying
Suitable for use in broadacre crops, pastures, horticultural crops, vineyards, orchards, and protected cropping systems.

Herbicide Compatibility
Works effectively with glyphosate, 2,4-D, MCPA, and other systemic herbicides that benefit from water acidification and improved uptake.

Water Conditioning
Useful in areas with hard or alkaline water, helping ensure consistent spray performance.

Spray Equipment
Compatible with standard hydraulic spray systems and commonly used agricultural nozzles.

SAFETY AND HANDLING

Hazard Classification
Eye damage – Category 1
Skin irritation – Category 2
Aquatic toxicity – Category 3

Handling Precautions
Avoid contact with eyes and skin.
Do not inhale vapour or mist.
Wear appropriate protective gloves, clothing, and eye protection when handling.
If product contacts skin or eyes, rinse immediately with plenty of water and seek medical advice if irritation persists.

Storage and Disposal
Store in the original container in a cool, well-ventilated area away from direct sunlight.
Keep tightly closed when not in use.
Triple rinse empty containers before disposal and follow local environmental regulations.

Mix Gravitate 707 at the rate on the product label for your specific weed species and situation. As a high-concentration potassium salt glyphosate formulation (707 g/L), lower volumes of product per hectare are required compared to standard 360/450 g/L glyphosate products. Add to a half-filled tank with agitation, add any specified adjuvants (ammonium sulphate and/or non-ionic wetter as directed by label), then top up. Apply to actively growing weeds when no rain is forecast for at least 4-6 hours. Tips: The high concentration means this formulation is more economical for large-scale spray programs. Do not spray weeds that are under moisture, cold, or heat stress as uptake will be significantly reduced. Always observe state and territory glyphosate use conditions, including any buffer zone requirements near waterways.

Common Questions

What is GRAVITATE 707 used for?

GRAVITATE 707 is a spray adjuvant designed to improve the performance of herbicides in agricultural applications. It works by acidifying spray water, enhancing chemical uptake by plants, and reducing spray drift. It's suitable for use in broadacre crops, horticulture, viticulture, pastures, orchards, and protected cropping systems.

How does the pH indicator work?

GRAVITATE 707 contains a built-in visual pH indicator that turns the spray mixture pink to red when the desired acidity level is reached. This allows you to visually confirm that your spray water has been conditioned correctly before you start spraying, without needing separate testing equipment.

Can I use GRAVITATE 707 with hard or alkaline water?

Yes. GRAVITATE 707 is specifically designed to help overcome the challenges of hard or alkaline water. By buffering spray water to an optimal pH range, it helps ensure consistent herbicide performance even in areas where water quality is poor, reducing the negative impact on spray effectiveness.

What herbicides is GRAVITATE 707 compatible with?

GRAVITATE 707 works effectively with glyphosate, 2,4-D, MCPA, and other systemic herbicides that benefit from water acidification and improved uptake. Always refer to the herbicide product label for compatibility and mixing instructions before use.

What safety precautions should I take when handling this product?

GRAVITATE 707 can cause eye damage and skin irritation. Wear appropriate protective gloves, clothing, and eye protection when handling. Avoid contact with eyes and skin, and do not inhale vapour or mist. If the product contacts your skin or eyes, rinse immediately with plenty of water and seek medical advice if irritation persists.
