This is a complete, ready-hung welded galvanised horse gate — there is no loose mesh to unroll or attach. Hang it between two strong, well-braced posts set for a 3.6 m (12') opening. Fit the gate's hinges to the hanging post so the gate swings clear of the ground, level it, and adjust the hinges until it opens and closes freely without dropping. Fix the latch to the closing post at a matching height and check the gate latches securely. As the gate is 1310 mm high and around 38 kg, use a substantial, well-concreted hanging post (or a solid strainer/tree) and have a second person help support the gate while you set the hinges. Tips: Hang the gate with the mesh facing into the paddock to keep horses away from the latch and hinge points. Leave a small, even ground clearance so it swings freely in wet weather without dragging. The gate is hot-dip galvanised inside and out — touch up any drilled or ground bare spots with cold galvanising to preserve corrosion resistance.
