Mount the gate hardware across your gateway opening and hang the conductive rubber-coated rods so they span the gap at the height that suits your stock. Connect the gate to your existing electric fence line, or to a separate battery or solar energiser (sold separately), using insulated cable so the rods are live. To pass through, simply drive your vehicle or bike — or walk — through the flexible rods; they push aside and swing back to close the gap. Pedestrians can also open it using the insulated hand grips. Tips: Set the rod height to suit the stock you're containing so animals won't push through while vehicles pass easily. For extra security, mount two gate units above each other and connect them to make a double gate. Keep the rods and connections clean and check the insulated cable and grips periodically for wear so the gate stays live and safe.
