Drive the 165cm galvanised heavy star post to 500-600mm depth using a post driver, giving approximately 95-115cm above ground. The heavy gauge galvanised post suits internal paddock subdivision and lighter fencing where extra rigidity is needed without the full height of a 180cm post. Attach wire at the pre-formed notches. Tips: Heavy posts at 165cm are well-suited to internal laneways and subdivision where stock density is higher and posts take regular impact. The hot-dipped galvanising gives excellent long-term rust protection even in SE Queensland's humid climate.
