Slide the post cap over the top of your 90mm round post, making sure it sits flush and level. Push it down firmly until it's fully seated — it should sit snug without forcing. The cap will shed water away from the post end, which keeps rot at bay and extends the life of your timber or steel. Tips: Clean any dirt or debris off the post top before fitting the cap so it seats properly and doesn't rock. If you're capping a lot of posts in one go, lay them out in the sun first — the galvabond will be easier to work with when it's warm and slightly more flexible. Check your posts are cut square across the top; uneven cuts mean the cap won't sit flush and water will get underneath.
