Lay out all the gate set components and check everything's present and undamaged before you start. Fit the hinge pins or straps to your hanging post at the correct spacing for your gate, making sure the post is set firm and plumb so it won't shift under stock pressure. Hang the 25 mm NB pipe gate onto the hinges, check it swings freely and sits level, then fit the latch or fastener to the closing post and adjust until the gate closes and secures cleanly. Tips: This economy set is built for lighter gates under low stock pressure - for heavy gates or high-traffic yards step up to a heavy-duty set. Keep the hinges greased and check the fasteners periodically, as gate movement will work fittings loose over time.
