FLOAT VALVE HIGH FLOW 50MM LOW & HIGH PRESSURE 400MM LEVER ARM PHILMAC at a glance

Philmac 200 Series valve meets the demand of the farming sector by providing large volumes of water very quickly

It makes it perfectly suited for high intensity stock watering such as feedlots and dairy

A tough body combined with a new cam and lever arrangement provides a robust valve which can withstand the rigorous treatment it will receive from livestock over many years.

This strength and long life is coupled with a high level of performance both in terms of shut off pressure and also flow.

Farmers can be confident that Philmac high flow float valves are up to the challenge.

Recommended Float Ball: 225mm (9") with 1/2" Whit Thread

Maximum Shut Off Pressure:

690kPa (100psi) in HP configuration , leave insert in connection body

152kPa (22psi) in LP configuration , remove insert in connection body

Install the float valve into your poly tank or trough inlet, ensuring the 50mm connection matches your supply line. Attach the 400mm lever arm to the float ball and secure the valve body firmly—use a wrench on the hex nut to prevent leaks. Adjust the lever arm so the float rises and falls freely without jamming on the tank walls or trough edges. Turn on your water supply gradually and check for leaks around the Philmac fitting before leaving it unattended. Tips: Match your system pressure (usually 100-350kPa on most rural properties) to this valve's pressure rating—check your regulator or pump specs if you're unsure. Keep the float ball clean and free-moving; a sticky float won't shut off properly and you'll waste water. If you're running off a dam or tank with sediment, fit a strainer upstream to stop debris fouling the valve mechanism.

Common Questions

What is this float valve designed for?

This is a Philmac 200 Series high flow float valve built for large volume water delivery. It's designed for high intensity stock watering applications like feedlots and dairies where you need to move water quickly and reliably.

What size is this valve and what float ball do I need?

This is a 50mm valve with a 400mm lever arm. The recommended float ball is 225mm (9") with 1/2" Whit Thread.
