The lightweight aluminium body means that the end user is not required to lug a heavy unit around even when full. The gravitational feed of the Drip Torch allows the unit to drip fire, making it simple and quick to operate.

FireBug drip torches are used nationwide by Fire Brigades and Rural Fire Services for their fire control needs. Back burning equipment should be used by trained, experienced personnel only.

Fuel mix (FireBug manual risk rating): ULP : Diesel 1 : 2 (safe), ULP : Diesel 1 : 3 (safer) or 100% Kerosene (safest). Although the Firebug has been Bio-fuel compatible since February 2012, Rodney Industries does not recommend its use due to the varying nature of the bio-fuel distillation processes. Fill to approximately 80% capacity (FCT1 – 50mm from the top of the canister). Back burning equipment should be used by trained, experienced personnel only. Do not use water to extinguish the wick as this may result in difficulty lighting the wick for further use. Do not attempt to weld, cut or apply heat to a used Firebug canister as it will contain residual flammable vapours. Damaged or leaking Firebugs should not be used until the damage or fault is rectified. Read the FireBug user manual before use.
