Unroll the StiffStay fence and set your posts at 1.5–2m intervals, depending on ground conditions and stock type. Pull the mesh moderately tight along the line—don't over-tension or you'll stress the joints—and secure with appropriate clips or staples to each post. Run a single wire along the top for added strength, especially on longer runs or where you're keeping young cattle or dogs. Tips: Tension the fence evenly as you go rather than cranking one end tight; uneven tension causes the mesh to kink and fail prematurely at weak points. On rough or rocky ground, dig out low spots before laying the fence so the bottom sits flush—gaps under the wire are an open invitation for dogs and smaller stock to push through.
