Highly engineered, tight cross-over Stiff Stay knot

Murray Stiff Stay prefabricated fencing is made exclusively on the Stiff Stay machine.

Murray Stiff Stay specifically designed to protect by providing a barrier against smaller marsupials, dogs, pigs and feral animals.

Stiff Stay Exclusion Fencing is produced with graduated line wire spacings.

The tighter 15cm stay spacings further improve its ability to withstand impact.

Unroll the netting along your fence line and secure the bottom edge first, ensuring it sits flat on the ground with no gaps for stock to squeeze under. Pull the mesh tight as you work upward, fastening to your posts with appropriate clips or ties every 30-40cm to prevent sagging. For best results, install on a calm day and check tension again after 48 hours as the netting may settle slightly. Tips: Always install with the stiff stays (the horizontal reinforcement wires) running horizontally—this is what gives the fence its strength and prevents it collapsing inward when stock push against it. Keep the bottom edge pulled tight to the ground; any gap here will be found by sheep or cattle and you'll spend time chasing escapees instead of doing real work. Check your posts are solid before you start—a wobbly post will make the whole fence fail, so do the groundwork properly first.
