Unroll the fencing and lay it out along your intended line, then secure the bottom wire firmly to the ground with pegs or droppers every 1.5 to 2 metres to prevent stock lifting or creeping under. Tension the top and middle wires evenly using a come-along or ratchet strainer, working gradually and checking alignment as you go. Secure to posts with clips or ties, ensuring the mesh stays vertical and there's no sag that animals can exploit. Tips: Don't over-tension on the first attempt—apply load gradually over a couple of days to let the wire settle and avoid breaking strands. Keep the bottom 150mm tight and flush with the ground; this is where most escape attempts happen, especially with determined dogs or young stock pushing through.
