Unroll the fencing and lay it out along your boundary, checking for kinks or damage before installation. Secure one end to a corner post or strainer with wire or clips, then pull the mesh tight along the fence line using a come-along or similar tensioning tool—aim for firm but not over-tensioned, as this wire will move slightly with temperature and ground settling. Staple or clip to each post at roughly 30cm intervals, making sure the bottom is sitting flat on the ground with no gaps for stock to push under. Tips: Keep your posts straight and properly spaced—dodgy post alignment wastes good fencing and creates weak spots where stock will test the line. Tension evenly across the full length rather than cranking down hard at one end; uneven tension causes sagging and makes repairs harder down the track. Don't skimp on corner and strainer posts; a properly built corner will last the life of the fence, whereas a weak one will unravel the whole run when stock leans on it.
