FENCING GALMAX MAXLOC FERAL BLOC 13/115/15 100M AWP 300587 at a glance

Max-Loc Feral Bloc pre-fabricated fence is offered in both a constant size mesh and graduated mesh spacings.

Graduated mesh spacing prevent smaller animals penetrating the fence. Both style fences provide an impact resistant barricade against marsupials such as wallabies and kangaroos, also dogs, pigs and feral animals.

GalMAX Fencing Max-Loc Field Fencing range is supplied in 2.50mm high tensile heavily galvanised wire.

The ProTough fence range supplied by GalMAX comes with the renowned strength of the Fixed Knot construction, together with the heavier wires, to make this one of the toughest wire fences.

Australia’s most innovative hinged apron design.

In an Australian first, the ProTough Feral Bloc exclusion range features a strong hinged apron design.

Existing Fixed Knot exclusion fences, with a forced apron effect, place increased stress on your fence posts.

The Ultimate ProTough design includes the innovative hinged apron footer, which creates a true ground barrier that is built to handle extreme pressure without placing unnecessary tension on your fence posts.

Features:

The high tensile top and bottom wires are 3mm thick, combined with 2.6mm high tensile picket wires and 2.5mm high tensile line wires - the strongest combination of wires supplied by GalMAX.

Tension crimps in the line wires provide for greater expansion and contraction of the fence in extreme temperatures.

This also allows for heavy impact from animals, resulting in a much more resilient fence that retains tension.

The fixed knot is wrapped around both the line and picket wires, allowing for improved movement and better flow across undulating ground.

The single vertical, high tensile picket wire adds a stiffness to the product, allowing fence posts to be spaced further apart.

All wires are heavily galvanised for extended life.

Unroll the mesh and stretch it taut along your fencing line, securing the top and bottom to posts with fencing clips or tie wire spaced roughly 300mm apart. For feral-proofing applications, ensure the mesh sits flush to the ground with no gaps underneath—dig it in slightly or peg it down if you've got determined pigs or dogs having a go. Pull it tight as you go to avoid sagging, which defeats the purpose of keeping ferals out. Tips: Check your posts are solid and properly spaced before you start—loose or rotting posts will let the whole thing sag and lose effectiveness against pressure from animals. In the Queensland heat, don't stretch it too tight when you install it on a hot day; mesh expands and contracts, and over-tensioning will cause problems come winter.

Common Questions

What animals will this fence keep out?

Max-Loc Feral Bloc is designed to exclude marsupials such as wallabies and kangaroos, as well as dogs, pigs and feral animals. The graduated mesh spacing helps prevent smaller animals from penetrating the fence.

What makes this fence different from standard field fencing?

This fence features a hinged apron design that creates a true ground barrier without placing unnecessary tension on your fence posts. It combines high tensile wires — 3mm top and bottom wires with 2.6mm picket wires and 2.5mm line wires — with Fixed Knot construction to give you one of the toughest wire fences available. Tension crimps in the line wires allow the fence to handle extreme temperatures and heavy animal impact while retaining tension.

How long will this fencing last?

All wires are heavily galvanised for extended life. The heavy galvanising protects against corrosion and rust, so you get a durable, long-lasting fence.

Does this fence work on uneven ground?

Yes. The fixed knot is wrapped around both the line and picket wires to allow improved movement and better flow across undulating ground. The single vertical high tensile picket wire adds stiffness, which also means you can space fence posts further apart.
