Use this strain insulator at end, corner and other strain points where the fence wire is tied off under tension. Loop your fence wire through one of the large tie-off ends and secure it, then run the continuing or return wire through the second tie-off end — the insulator holds the two ends apart and isolates the live wire from earth and from your end assembly. Suits all wire types up to 8mm/0GA. It is an inline strain component that carries wire tension; do not slide it onto a post. Tips: Check insulators regularly for cracks or UV degradation, especially on the sunny side of the fence — a damaged insulator bleeds voltage to earth and weakens the whole fence.
