Dose
For oral use only, mixed in damp feed. Dose Rate: 80 mg/kg bodyweight. For an average 500 kg horse the initial dose is 20 g (1 large scoop) mixed in feed twice daily for 25 days or until improvement in condition is noted. This dose delivers 10,000 mg Glucosamine and 4,000 mg Chondroitin per day.
A maintenance dose of 32 mg/kg bodyweight may then be followed. Give 8 g (2 small scoops) twice daily (16 g per day) for a 500kg horse. This dose delivers 4,000 mg Glucosamine and 1,600 mg Chondroitin per day.
Not recommended for use in acute or infectious joint conditions. For a diagnosis to determine these conditions, or in the event of an adverse experience (eg diarrhoea) or where response is unsatisfactory, consult your veterinarian. Use with caution in pregnant or lactating animals as safe use in these groups has not been established. Use with caution in animals with bleeding, liver or kidney disorders.
