Equi-Solfen® is a ready-to-use anaesthetic and antiseptic spray-on gel designed for the treatment of traumatic superficial skin wounds in horses. It combines pain relief, bleeding control, antiseptic protection and wound care in one easy-to-apply product.

The spray forms a foaming gel on contact, helping the product adhere to the wound and provide effective coverage. Equi-Solfen can be applied once daily for up to 7 days.

4-in-1 Wound Care

• Pain relief – Lignocaine provides rapid local anaesthetic action, while bupivacaine provides longer-lasting pain relief.
• Reduces bleeding – Adrenaline constricts blood vessels at the wound site, helping reduce blood loss.
• Antiseptic protection – Cetrimide provides antiseptic action to help protect the wound against infection.
• Supports wound healing – The formulation helps seal and protect the wound while healing takes place.

Active Ingredients

Each litre contains:

• 40.6 g/L Lignocaine (as hydrochloride)
• 4.2 g/L Bupivacaine (as hydrochloride)
• 24.8 mg/L Adrenaline (as acid tartrate)
• 5.0 g/L Cetrimide

Directions for Use

Apply Equi-Solfen to superficial skin wounds once daily for up to 7 days.

Apply 1mL (one spray) per 4cm² of wound area, ensuring the entire wound and particularly the wound edges are covered. Do not spray to run-off and do not treat wounds near the horse's mouth, eyes or nose.

Deep wounds, wounds involving joints, tendons or other underlying structures, heavy bleeding, infection or wounds that are not healing should be assessed by a veterinarian. Do not use on horses that may be used for human consumption.
