Mount the MB1060R in a dry location near your power source, either plugged into mains 240V or running on battery when mains isn't available. Connect your fence wire to the positive terminal and run a good earth stake into moist soil at least 1 metre away from the unit, then connect the earth wire to the negative terminal. Switch on and check that the LED indicator is flashing to confirm it's working. Tips: Keep your earth stake driven deep into damp soil—a poor earth is the number one reason fences don't work properly, especially in dry seasons. Run a quick walk around your fence line before switching on to clear any vegetation touching the wires, as heavy grass or tree branches will drain power and reduce your effective range. If you're running this on battery in remote paddocks, check the battery level weekly during heavy use periods.
