How do I install it?
Cut the pipe with a sharp pipe cutter for a clean, perpendicular cut, loosen the nut until two threads are visible, push the PE pipe straight in to the internal pipe stop, then hand-tighten (finish with a spanner if required) until the nut meets the built-in flange shoulder. Do not overtighten. No pipe chamfering or lubrication is required.
Can the fitting be reused?
Yes. Loosen the nut until two threads are visible, allowing the collet to reset. The pipe can then be removed by hand and the fitting reused.
What pressure is it rated for?
The standard Philmac 3G Metric compression fitting range is designed for pressure applications up to PN16.
