Earthlife Garden Delight is a 100% natural, composted plant food and soil conditioner designed to improve soil fertility while supplying a broad range of minerals, nutrients and beneficial biology. It is suitable for vegetable gardens, flowers, shrubs, trees, fruit trees, native plants, lawns and pot plants.

What is in Garden Delight?

Garden Delight combines composted organic material, humates and mineral sources, including natural rock phosphate and plant-available silica. Earthlife states that it contains approximately 60 mineral elements, along with more than 30 beneficial microbes and fungi species. It contains no animal waste or manure.

Application rates

General fertilising:
150 g/m² — approximately 1–2 handfuls.

Most planting situations:
300 g/m² — approximately 3–4 handfuls, particularly where Garden Mate is not being used.

Problem soils/areas:
500 g/m² minimum.

Very sandy soils:
Up to 1 kg/m².

Pot plants:
Approximately 1 tablespoon for every 10 cm of pot diameter.

How often should it be applied?

Earthlife recommends applying Garden Delight generally every 3–4 months, with more frequent applications where required. It can be spread over mulch or bark and watered in, although working it into the soil can provide quicker results.

Using it with Garden Mate

Earthlife recommends using Garden Mate first as a soil-conditioning product, followed by Garden Delight as the plant food. The two products are designed to complement one another: Garden Mate focuses more heavily on soil conditioning and mineral availability, while Garden Delight adds composted organic matter, humates, minerals and nutrients.

Is it organic and safe?

Garden Delight is listed by Earthlife as a Certified Allowed Input for organic growers. It contains no animal waste products and is described as vegan friendly. Earthlife also states that it will not burn plant foliage or roots when used as directed.
