Gallagher Galvanised 1m Earth Stake for small Mains or Battery Energizers.

For use for earthing energizers.

Drive the 1m galvanised stake vertically into the ground using a sledgehammer, ensuring it's fully seated and won't shift when you pull on it. Connect your earth clamp firmly to the stake, then run your earth wire from the clamp back to your energiser's earth terminal. In rocky ground, angle the stake slightly if needed, but aim for maximum depth contact with the soil. Tips: Wet soil around your earth stake before installation if the ground's hard or dry — it'll drive in easier and improve conductivity straight away. Don't rely on a single stake in sandy or very dry country; two stakes spaced a metre apart and wired in parallel will give you much better earth resistance when you need it most.
