Earthcare Water Crystals, when incorporated into a soil or potting media, absorb and retain large quantities of water and water-soluble nutrients.
Made from super absorbent anionic polyacrylamide, they have the ability to absorb up to 500 times their weight in water, with 95% of this water and nutrient being readily released again for the plant to take up as needed, and remain effective for up to 5 years.

What do Earthcare Water Crystals do?
When incorporated into a soil or potting media, they absorb and retain large quantities of water and water-soluble nutrients. They can absorb up to 500 times their weight in water, with 95% of this water and nutrient being readily released again for the plant to take up as needed, and remain effective for up to 5 years.
How much should I use?
Tree planting: 5 grams per 5 litres of backfill mixed through loose soil. Garden beds: 25 grams per square metre. Pots and containers: 10 grams per 10 litres of potting mix. Potting mix: 750 grams per cubic metre of peat/bark based mix. Turf: 10-20 grams per square metre. Follow application rates as overdosing can lead to plants being pushed out of the ground.
Are they hazardous?
The Safety Data Sheet states they are not classified as hazardous according to the Globally Harmonised System and not classified as Dangerous Goods according to the Australian Code. Avoid inhalation of dust, and skin or eye contact.
