The Y-tex Ultra Tagger pin is a Nickel-plated, hardened steel applicator pin that won’t bend, break or rust.
Suitable for use with Ytex Ultra Tagger, Allflex Taggers, and other cattle ear tag applicators.
Y-Tex conversion pins are recommended for use with Ytex Cattle Insecticidal Tags, including;
Warrior Insecticidal Cattle Ear Tags
Python Maxima Insecticidal Cattle Ear Tags
Python Insecticidal Cattle Ear Tags
Optimizer Insecticidal Cattle Ear Tags
Agressor Cattle Ear Tags
The standard tagging pin (ie used in Allflex, Leader, Datamars & Ztag taggers) or any other pin will not work on the Y-Tex buttons as they are a self-piercing button designed to stop infection spreading (clean application every time).
If the correct pin is not used they will not only shoot through the side of button but won’t attach to the animal.
The tapered design eliminates the annoyance of bent and broken pins
It is important to keep the hole in the end of the pin free of foreign matter.
A safety pin or similar device will quickly clean the pin hole and assure you or problem free tagging.

What is this pin for?
This is a replacement applicator pin for the Y-tex Ultra Tagger ear tag applicator. It's the pin that sits inside your tagger and pierces the animal's ear when you apply an ear tag.
Will this pin work with my existing tagger?
The Y-tex pin is suitable for use with Y-tex Ultra Tagger applicators, Allflex taggers, and other cattle ear tag applicators. However, it's specifically designed for Y-tex self-piercing buttons. If you're using Y-tex insecticidal tags (like Warrior, Python Maxima, Python, Optimizer or Aggressor), you must use this Y-tex pin — standard tagging pins from other brands won't work properly with Y-tex buttons and won't attach correctly to the animal.
