Animalintex Poultice Dressing is a non-sterile poultice dressing for use on horses and dogs.
Active constituent: Not more than 60 g/kg boric acid. Also contains 150 g/kg tragacanth.
It can be used as a hot poultice, a cold poultice or a dry dressing (see directions). Animalintex should not be used in conjunction with any other medical preparations except on the advice of your veterinary surgeon, who should be consulted before the poultice is applied to infected wounds.

What animals is Animalintex Poultice Dressing for?

How do I use it as a hot poultice?
Cut the dressing to size and place in a shallow tray of boiled water which has been allowed to cool to 38°C (100°F). Once it is saturated, remove the dressing, gently squeeze out excess water and place it on the affected area with the plastic backing away from the skin. Hold in place with stretch conforming, elastic adhesive or cohesive bandage.
How often should the dressing be changed?
The label states the dressings should be renewed at least once every 12 hours.
