Setup: Attach your drench hose to the 9.5mm hose spigot on the drencher gun. The larger spigot size allows for a quicker refill rate between doses, helping to speed up work through the yards. Connect to your drench container as per the container and hose setup instructions.

Setting the Dose: Use the Dose Selector located at the top of the applicator to set your required dosage. Simply rotate the numbered dial to your desired dose volume. The selector adjusts in 0.5ml increments from 1ml through to 8ml, so you can dial in the exact volume recommended on your drench label for the weight of your sheep.

Drenching: Restrain the sheep securely. Insert the nozzle gently into the side of the mouth, positioning it over the back of the tongue to ensure the drench is swallowed correctly rather than deposited in the cheek pouch. Squeeze the handle to deliver the set dose. Always follow the drench manufacturer's dosage instructions based on the animal's liveweight.

Cleaning and Maintenance: After each drenching session, flush the gun thoroughly with clean water to remove any product residue. Disassemble where possible and rinse all components. Allow parts to dry fully before storage. Regular cleaning prevents chemical build-up, maintains accuracy, and extends the working life of the gun.

• Always weigh a representative sample of your mob and drench to the heaviest animal in the group — under-dosing is a leading cause of drench resistance in sheep flocks.

• Flush the gun with clean water between switching drench products to avoid chemical reactions or cross-contamination between different active ingredients.
• After cleaning, store the drencher gun in a cool, dry place out of direct sunlight to protect the plastic components and maintain the integrity of seals and moving parts.
• Check the nozzle and hose connections regularly for wear or cracking, particularly at the start of each season, to ensure accurate and leak-free dosing.
• Never leave drench sitting in the gun or hose for extended periods — always flush through after use to prevent blockages and corrosion of internal components.
