What size dog is this system suitable for?
The PetSafe Big Dog Radio Fence is designed for dogs 3.6 kg and up. The Receiver Collar fits neck sizes 15–71 cm, so it's adjustable across a range of sizes. It's especially built for stubborn or hard-to-train dogs.
How much area does the included wire cover?
The 150 m of boundary wire included in the pack covers up to 1/3 acre. If you need to expand the system later, it's expandable up to 10 acres with additional wire and flags (sold separately).
What stimulation modes does the collar have?
The Receiver Collar has five adjustable levels of electrical stimulation, plus a tone-only mode combined with vibration to alert your pet with a beep. There's also Over Stimulation Protection built in—stimulation stops automatically after 30 seconds.
What do I need to know about the battery?
The Receiver Collar uses one 9-volt battery, which is included in the pack. The collar has a good/low battery indicator so you'll know when it needs replacing. The collar itself is waterproof.
Can I add more dogs to this system?
Yes. You can add an unlimited number of pets by purchasing additional in-ground Add-A-Dog® Receiver Collars separately. They'll all work with the same transmitter and boundary wire.
