10 Year Warranty

Position the post hole shovel above your marked post location and drive it into the ground with a firm downward thrust, cutting a cylindrical core of soil. Lift the shovel out, carrying the loosened material, then repeat until you've reached the required depth. Clear loose soil from the bottom of the hole between digging passes to maintain a clean, flat-bottomed hole. Tips: This shovel suits hand digging of individual post holes in lighter soils — for large quantities or hard clay or rocky ground, a mechanical post hole digger (auger) is far more efficient. Wetting the soil the day before digging makes it significantly easier in dry clay. Keep the shovel blades sharp for cleaner cuts and less effort.
