Precast concrete keeps water cool, reducing the risk of bacteria

Position the 400L concrete trough in a central location within your paddock to ensure even access for all livestock and minimise dominance-related feeding competition. Fill the trough with water or supplement as required, ensuring the outlet valve is properly adjusted to maintain desired flow rate. For supplement feeding programs, adjust the flow control mechanism gradually to match your feeding schedule and animal intake requirements. Inspect the trough daily for debris and ensure adequate drainage to maintain water quality. Tips: Place the trough in a shaded area or under a shelter to prevent algae growth, spoilage of supplements, and water temperature fluctuations during hot weather. Position away from trees to reduce leaf litter and contamination, and ensure the surrounding ground is well-drained to prevent mud accumulation. Rotate animal access times if dominance hierarchy causes unequal feeding, or consider multiple feeding stations for larger herds.
