COCKY VALVE 40MM (1 1/2") STAINLESS STEEL VALVE BODY 0038 at a glance

Cocky Valve 40mm (1 1/2") Valve Body

Cocky Full Flow Float Valve Bodies are made from heavy duty stainless steel and can reliably operate in both very low (= 5 psi – 30kpa) or very high pressure (= 150psi – 1050 kpa) installs.

They can be fitted above or below the required water level, with some arm combinations even allowing the valve to be inverted and fitted up from the bottom face of the trough (as many feedlots require).

Features:

Grade 316 Stainless Steel construction

Full Flow in high or low pressure applications

Virtually indestructible by man or beast.

Packet includes:
Stainless Steel Body, 2 Split Pins, Push rod, washer and washer seat.

Install the 40mm cocky valve into your poly tank or trough inlet, ensuring the float arm moves freely without obstruction. Connect your water supply line to the valve inlet and adjust the float to set your desired water level — the valve will automatically shut off once the tank reaches that height. Check that your supply pressure sits between 100-350kPa, which covers most Queensland rural systems. Bleed air from the line after installation to get proper operation. Tips: Mount the valve where you can easily access the float arm for cleaning and adjustment — debris from dam water can foul the mechanism, so regular checks during dry season will save you headaches. If you're running off a gravity-fed tank or low-pressure system, make sure your ball float rating matches your actual supply pressure to avoid the valve hunting or failing to shut off properly.
