Unroll the netting along your intended fence line and secure the bottom edge firmly to the ground or to your existing posts with fencing staples or wire ties, spacing them about 300mm apart. Pull the netting taut as you work along the line to avoid sagging, then secure the top edge to your posts or strainer wire. For a 50m roll, plan your post spacing beforehand—typically 2-3m intervals works well for chicken netting. Tips: Install on a cool day if possible, as the wire will be less prone to stretching when temperatures are moderate. Always secure the bottom edge properly to prevent predators like foxes from pushing underneath—this is where most backyard setups fail. Consider running a strand of barbed wire or hot wire along the top if you've got roaming dogs in the district, as they'll test any new fence.
