CHICKEN NETTING HEAVY RURAL 1.4MM 180 X 4CM X 50M WHITES 10458 at a glance

Whites Rural Heavy Netting is a versatile heavily galvanized netting for rural and heavy duty applications.

Netting with a 4cm aperture and 1.4mm wire diameter (often referred to as rabbit netting) is available in varying heights.

Suggested uses are:

30cm – reconditioning of existing fences, garden edging
60cm – reconditioning of existing fences, ducks
90cm – rabbit proofing, boundary fencing & tree guards
105cm – rabbit proofing, boundary fencing & tree guards
120cm – boundary and feral fencing, poultry
180cm – feral fencing, poultry and animal enclosures

Unroll the netting along your fence line and secure the top edge to your existing fence posts or rails using fencing staples or tie wire, spacing fasteners about 30cm apart. Pull the netting taut as you work along to avoid sagging, then secure the bottom edge to the ground with pegs or additional tie wire every meter or so. For temporary fencing, you can simply peg it out without attaching to posts, but make sure it's pulled tight to prevent animals pushing through. Tips: Install this netting in cooler weather if possible—it's easier to handle and pull tight when the material isn't expanded from heat. Check your fencing regularly after storms or heavy use, as the weight of animals leaning on it can loosen fasteners and create gaps where smaller stock can escape.
