Unroll the netting along your fence line and secure the top to your existing posts or strainers using fencing staples or wire ties every 30cm. Keep the netting pulled taut as you work down the line to prevent sagging. For temporary fencing, simply peg it out with star pickets every 2 metres, making sure the bottom edge is sitting on the ground to stop small stock pushing underneath. Tips: Always check your netting for damage or rust before installation, especially if it's been stored in damp conditions. Stretch it firmly as you go—loose netting will shift with wind and stock pressure, creating gaps that small animals will exploit. In hot Queensland summers, the galvanised coating can reflect heat and stress stock, so consider shading where possible during peak temperature periods.
