Slide the 115mm x 42mm oval cattle rail into the saddle brackets mounted on your upright posts, ensuring each end is fully seated. Span rails 2.4-3m between uprights for a strong assembly — longer unsupported spans increase the risk of bending under cattle pressure. Use rail joiners where two lengths meet mid-span, and end caps on all exposed rail ends to prevent sharp edges. Weld or bolt securely to upright posts according to your yard design. Tips: The 2.5mm wall thickness makes this the heavier of the two oval cattle rail sizes, suited to yards with high stock density or larger cattle breeds. Always wear gloves when handling cut rail ends — the steel edges are sharp. Install end caps on all exposed rail ends immediately after cutting to eliminate sharp edges before stock enter the yard.
