Philmac’s threaded fittings provide maximum versatility, delivering a high performance connection across a wide range of pressure ratings and chemical combinations.

The hexagonal body makes them extremely simple to install. Importantly, Philmac threaded fittings are suitable for working pressures up to PN16 for sizes up to 2”, PN12 for 2-1/2” and PN10 for 3” and 4” sized fittings.

Smart hexagonal design makes the fittings compatible with tools and ensures that Philmac BSP threaded fittings are extremely easy to install.

The material also has a high degree of UV resistance to ensure long term performance even in direct sunlight.

Screw the 1" (25mm) BSP cap fitting onto the threaded male end of your poly pipe or fitting until hand-tight, then use an adjustable wrench to turn a further 1-1.5 turns for a secure seal. Ensure the threaded connection is clean and free from dirt or damage before installation. This cap is designed to permanently seal off pipe ends in your rural water system. Do not over-tighten as this may damage the fitting or the pipe connection. Tips: Always match your fitting size to your pipe's inner diameter—1" fittings connect to 1" poly pipe with the green stripe. Check that your rural poly pipe is rated to at least 800kPa if used in pump-fed systems, as this cap will withstand standard rural water pressures. For temporary sealing, consider a compression or barb fitting with a removable cap instead.
