The "B" type camlocks have a female camlock end and a male BSP thread of the same size.

The female camlock end fits into any male camlock fitting of the same size.

This unit is 40mm female x 40mm male BSP thread.

Polypropylene material

Wrap the male BSP thread with PTFE thread tape (3-4 wraps in a clockwise direction) to create a watertight seal. Screw the adaptor's male BSP thread into a matching 40mm (1-1/2") female BSP fitting or outlet by hand, then tighten firmly with a spanner — do not over-tighten, as this can crack the polypropylene. To connect a hose or pipe line, push a matching 40mm (1-1/2") male camlock adaptor into the female camlock end and close both cam arms down until they lock. Tips: This is a Type B camlock — a 40mm (1-1/2") female camlock coupler on one end and a 40mm (1-1/2") male BSP thread on the other. A 40mm camlock is the 1-1/2" size, not 1"; match the thread and camlock to your existing 40mm (1-1/2") system. Test the connection under pressure before burying or fully installing the line to confirm the seal is watertight.
