The "F" type camlocks have a male grooved adaptor and a male BSP thread of the same size.

The male grooved end fits into any female camlock fitting of the same size.

This unit is 50mm male camlock x 50mm male BSP thread.

Wrap the male BSP thread with PTFE thread-seal tape (3-4 wraps in the direction of the thread) and screw the adaptor into the female BSP-threaded outlet on your pump, tank or valve. Hand-tighten, then nip up with a spanner until seated - do not over-tighten. The male camlock adaptor end pushes into a matching 50mm female camlock coupler: seat it fully and close both cam arms down over the groove to lock the connection. This is a Philmac Type F adaptor - a male camlock adaptor on one end and a male 50mm BSP thread on the other. It has no barb/hose-tail, so it does not clamp onto poly pipe directly; use a matching barbed camlock fitting where you need to join to poly pipe. Tips: Check both ends are the same 50mm size and that the mating female coupler's seal is clean and undamaged before locking the arms. Open the cam arms to disconnect - no tools required - which makes camlock ideal for connections you need to break and remake. Use fittings and poly pipe rated for your system's operating pressure.
