This is a Type D camlock fitting: a female cam-lever coupler on one end and a 50mm (2") female BSP threaded socket on the other. Thread the female BSP end onto a matching male BSP fitting (tank outlet, valve or pipe tail), using thread tape for a watertight seal — tighten by hand then nip up with a wrench, taking care not to over-tighten the polypropylene thread. To join the camlock end, open the two cam arms, push the mating male camlock adaptor (Type A, E or F) squarely into the coupler, then close both arms by hand to lock the joint. Check the Buna-N seal is seated and undamaged before connecting. Tips: Camlocks are for quick-connect liquid transfer, not for compressed air or steam. Make sure the male adaptor and coupler are the same size (50mm) and standard before joining. Replace the seal if it is cracked or perished to keep the joint leak-free, and support the hose or pipe so the fitting is not left carrying the weight.
