This Type F camlock adaptor has a male cam-and-groove (camlock) end and a male 40mm BSP threaded end — there is no hose barb and no poly-pipe insertion. Use it to join camlock-fitted hose or equipment to a female BSP threaded fitting such as a pump port, tank outlet or valve. Fit the cam end into a matching female camlock coupler and close both cam arms fully over the groove until they seat firmly and latch. Apply thread tape or a suitable sealant to the male BSP thread, then thread it into the corresponding female BSP fitting and tighten on the hex with a spanner until firm — do not over-tighten the aluminium thread. Safety: Under no circumstances should cam and groove couplings be used for compressed air or steam service. Check the seal in the female coupler is in good condition and confirm both cam arms are fully latched before pressurising the line.
